Transforming the conventional flat
This renovation project in Barcelona is a good example of how a traditional flat, organized by a dark hallway and fragmented into small rooms, has been transformed into a spacious, very bright and comfortable home, that allows flexibility of uses, and accommodates a large but "invisible" storage capacity. The public areas (reception hall, living room, kitchen and dining room) communicate through sliding panels that unify and expand the internal views. The new interiors maximize the relationship with light and its exterior views. All furniture is custom made allowing the most efficient use of space and even the multiple uses of certain rooms, like the library/dining room/office.
