Flat in corner of Eixample

This is an example of the remodeling of a corner apartment from the sixties located in Barcelona’s Eixample. The existing conditions presented a cramped apartment with many dark rooms that did not suit the needs of a professional couple. Our goal for this project was to maximize natural light and to make the apartment highly functional and aesthetically pleasant. The different angles resulting from this type of construction were reorganized by transforming the kitchen area into a completely open space. The diagonal axis, which housed the storage space and bathrooms, was accentuated with dark wood contrasting with the light finish of other elements. The public areas were fully connected expanding views and maximizing natural light.
